I've only played tuba on a performance one time. I was an emergency sub at Interlochen. I am a euph player who said "no" every time they asked me to play that day. They finally said they'd pay me, my reply was "where's my tuba?"
So, my favorite pieces I've performed on tuba are The Planets, Tchaik 4, and Elgar Enigma Variations.
