I've got an S186 CC and am pretty happy with it. The only difference I could find in the Pro and the S series is the nickel plating on the slides and the nickel bell ring. From what I've seen those are the only differences.
I haven't found any manufacturers defects in mine... the only major problems are from the player blowing the horn. :^)
