At the Dallas TubaChristmas last Thursday, I was talking with Everett Gilmore (ex-tubist of the Dallas Symphony), and I noticed he was playing on what looked like an old Conn Sousaphone.
It turns out that he salvaged this horn from a junkyard, and purchased it for $0.28 per pound!
