I just got two Mirafone F tubas for which I am trying to find homes. I will guess they are mid 1970's vintage. They both come with the small Mirafone hard case. The low range (low d-b) are a bit squirrely like all the small F's are. They do not compare to the large F's currently in vogue. Both instruments have a sweet, light sound that would be perfect for solo work and SOME delicate orchestral solos. I don't think that are ideal quintet horns, although I like some of the renaissaince and baroque stuff on them. If you are looking for an F tuba, that is moderately priced, you might want to look into one of these instruments. Please email me for more information. Tony Clements
