Hello Fellow Listers,

The other night I was visiting home for Thanskgiving and we were watching an old old Christmas tape and we came across the 1974 Christmas cartoon "Twas the Night Before Christmas," which is basically the story of Santa Claus visiting a small town. There are a bunch of mice and it is all very cute and I remember loving it as a child, but watching it now I noticed the music behind the action a little bit more. Throughout the show it seems that the Tuba is a very predominant solo voice. I know this may seem very random, but does anyone know what Tubist performed this work. The parts were not extremely difficult, but it was performed very well and really provided an interesting musical concept to the movie. With some research I found that it was made in 1974 by Warner Brothers, and it starred Joel Gray and Tammy Grimes. If any of you have kids you should also look into getting this video, it is available on amazon.com. Thank you all for any information..

Sincerely,
Jay McKellar
