as thin as the bell material is on a kalison it would be hard to not sound bright. intonation is a major concern on most kalisons i have played on as well as heared. the rattle invloving the screw on the lead pipe can also be a pain. the kalisons i've played on don't seem to "play in the slots". it seems rather difficult to hold a pitch constant.
