I wasn't suggesting that playing style should be changed. The purpose of the stand is to achieve the correct mouthpiece height for playing while sitting in different height chairs. It was revolutionary because I was finally relaxed while playing instead of struggling to hold the instrument and get the mouthpiece in the right place. It's cheaper than having the lead pipe moved and you can use it on more than one instrument. No, I'm not suggesting that you change instuments after 40 years........ Moises
