Unfortunately sousaphones tend to be like cars in the amount of their value that they lose once they "leave the lot." A fiberglass BBb King sousaphone in top condition would be worth between $750 to $1250. On eBay they tend to sell for the low end of this, but the average price in a store seems to be around $1200. Taylor Music sells used fiberglass sousaphones for $1650. You are not likely to get anything near this value as a trade in. You could try consigning them to one of the larger music stores and see what you could get. You would give up 10% of the selling price, but the most likely buyers of these would be other schools and that's where they will look.

Eb sousaphones are currently in even less demand, although 4 valvers are less common and threrefore worth more. If it is a good brand, i.e. Conn or King, it would probably sell for about the same price as the fiberglass sousaphones, unless there is something really unique about it.
