Actually he does ask for Bruckner 7. I dont know it, but my teacher said it was a pretty demanding request for any tubist, high schooler or professional. Perantoni asks for Kraft's Encounters, which requires an incredible range.

Here are Northwestern's suggestions: Concerto by Vaughan Williams, sonatas by Hindemith, Marcello; Introduction and Dance by Barat; Orchestral excerpts: Prelude to Die Meistersinger, Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner; Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz; Mahler's Symphony No. 1, third movement; Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5, first movement; Bruckner's Symphony No. 7, fourth movement. Major scales and sight-reading required.

Personally, I prefer "Solo literature and etudes demonstrating tone, intonation, range, technique." Notice the two I put last...
