The Conn 5j mentioned is a Bb tuba, the Conn 2j, however is a CC.
I own a Conn 2j... they are not made anymore, I dated mine back to 1949.
I would say it is a -Small 4/4- or a -Big 3/4- sized horn. It has 4 front action piston valves and a 16.5 inch bell. I get a great sound on mine... in all registers. I use a Warburton custom made mouthpiece...(bach 18 heavyweight with a little bit flatter rim, w/ the rim and the inside cup gold plated) for band and orchestra work and a smaller Warburton "Heleberg" mouthpiece for solo and quintet work. All registers are very free blowing, sound is very focused and open.
