I didn't replace the tubing. I just wanted to know about future repairs to these horns. If a German 21mm inner and matching 22mm outer tube fits, that also means; should a rotor get hopelessly damaged or worn out, it can be replaced with a compete 21mm rotor assembly. In about 10 years, the St Pete tubas sold to schools are going to get traded in for new horns. A nightmare on the horizon.
The St Pete I sold the other day did get a little extra attention to help it articulate and center the pitches more in tune.
