I’m a junior in high school and looking at euphoniums for collage. I’m looking at Willson Euphoniums and I wanted to know if the 2950
—a large bell, large bell instrument with a full compensating system, takes a bass trombone mouthpiece shank;3 top action stainless steel piston valves and one on the side; valve spring silencers; moisture catchers; 12 ¼“ (310mm) one piece seamless bell; standard valve bore .591”(15mm)/[4th valve .670”(17mm)], compensating side .632”(16mm); large bore mouthpipe, bell and tubing.
Or the 2900
—a compensating model; intermediate size European euphonium mouthpiece shank; 3 top action stainless steel piston valves and one on the side; valve spring silencers; moisture catchers; 11 ½ “(292 mm) one piece seamless bell; standard valve bore .591”(15 mm)/[4th valve .670”(17 mm)], compensating side .632”(16 mm)
Which is better?
I got this info from http://www.degmusic.com/willson/w2700-29euph.htm if you want to look at it there.
I wanted to know which would be better for the future, any impute you can give would be great.
