I recently made all-state(whoohoo!) and my band director normally gives solos to students who make all-state. The thing is, our band isn't all that great, mainly due to an excess of slackers and woodwinds. So what i'm trying to find out is if there are any great tuba solos with an intermediate band accompaniment, possibly a grade 4. We've already got "A touch of tuba," the Haddad suite(which is probably too difficult for the band), and Tuba Tiger Rag...I like it alright, but my director doesn't like the arrangement. Could someone point me in the direction of other good solos?
