I had a student last year who would often be a no-show for his lessons. I taught at a community college 10 miles from my office, and he never called. On a positive note however, I still got paid $35 per lesson by the school whether he showed or not, so when he wasn't there I actually got paid to work on my own material. I guess that is a minor injustice...and he was good enough to return the music and mouthpieces that I loaned to him...
