DB meter 36 inches from bell directly in front of you.

I can't do much about room size so find a room with a low celing (again aveerage house height), and shoot for about 18X12 room average front room size (rough I know) prefer no carpet and few curtains, maybe you could let us know what kind of room you played in?.

Play Chromatically 2 octaves from low f on up. Each note should have good tone, and try to play the note long like a whole note, and figure out what decible level you really played.

Try this for soft, and try it for loud. Play each note and then write down your results.

I'm courious if there is any kind of average loud, and average soft.

I know this test has way too many variable, but it's still kinda fun to see what we come up with.

P.S. Anybody try moving a horse with a tuba? I once made a black bear that was outside my cabin jump out of its skin.
