When I got a virus email on my Mac, I learned from it. Since the extension is displayed past the "title", i.e. picture.jpg.bat, obviously I can tell it is a virus file. I open it up on the word processor in my Mac and read it. Not only is it entertaining, but I could figure out how to code one of these if I wanted to... It really is interesting. Never had any issues, obviously. I just got brave and curious, and got a good laugh out of the dummy that started it all! In turn, my PCs were protected then as well since I knew what to watch for. I don't do it anymore though, not going to tempt fate. But just trying it once was good for a learning experience.
