Since the 45slp is a 'german' style f tuba (not to start any flames), I would recommend sticking with a german stlye mouthpiece, sometihng more bowl shaped. This will aide in producing that german f sound. If you go to the Mr Tuba website, there is a link to the "german catalog" of PT mouthpieces, this will provide you with a wealth of good information. Perhaps something like a PT 64 or PT 66 would work nicely, but, without hearing you play etc.. no one on this board can recommend a great mouthpiece FOR YOU.
