I don't know if that's the same double tuba that Ivan Hammond had Alex build for him (back in the old days Alexander would build anything Ivan had a hankering for). The Alex he said had such heavy valves that he sent it down to Bob Pallansch to "catacomb" weight out of the rotors. He said Bob took 3 oz. off each rotor.
