I have no opinion on which software anyone should use for music
notation, but I must say "Standards schmandards". It seems to
me that you should use the hammer that best fits your hand. If
that's Sibelius for Tweedle-Dee and Finale for Tweedle-Dum, why
is that a bad thing?

If you REALLY want a standard to emerge, you should be glad there are
two competing products. They will each eventually be forced to adopt
an open standard to survive. Any savvy Microsoft user wishes Apple
was stronger, for just that reason.
