I started as a trombone player and played bone through college, but once I got out I found that there was more work for a good tuba player which there didn't seem to be too many of around in our area, so I bought one and that was it. I now play as much tuba as trombone if not more! I would love to learn bass but I just don't know if I have the patience in my old age to start someting new from scratch.
