You are correct about the final cadence. IV to I, usually a diminished chord that is resolved. Thanks for the clarification. I'm not sure I go along with the social heirarchy. I'm not sure where you live, but I can attest to there being no social heirarchy among barbershoppers anywhere that I've been (most of the U.S.) It's a form of pure enjoyment for amateurs and professionals alike. The pro's don't make a fortune, so it better be enjoyable. There are concerns about the close harmonies/voicing, and as I told Rick, I think that is not a major issue as long as tuning is of the highest priority. Groups can re-voice arrangements or re-key arrangements to make them work. I don't think copyrighted arrangements have to present a problem, but I fully understand your position, and you are quite right in taking caution. I'll check out the link you posted.
