I'd probably prefer a 4-valve Eb, but that's what I currently play in just those types of small ensembles.
In fact, where I live I'd probably go hunting for a used 4-valve Boosey & Hawkes Imperial Eb, and likely get the mouthpiece receiver changed to the US-standard size from the original European.
Just to add some spice to the discussion, I was only ever exposed to Conn instruments for a period in the late seventies and nobody I knew (including me) was very impressed with their tone. Obviously others who post here have had different experiences and hold very different opinions.
Besides which the Booseys tend to plentiful around here in a not too dented black(used to be silver) finish.

Nothing Hagerty's silver creme won't fix.
