I recently got burnt big time when purchasing a helicon from overseas. Duty was nonexistant as the item was purchased through an auction and the actual process was rather easy. I simply messed up when I didn't insist on escrow. The seller shipped FedEx and they caused $ 2.500 damage to a horn that I payed $1.200 for. FedEx coughed up a generous $57.00 to cover the cost of repairs. The moral of the story is to INSIST on escrow and don't EVER ship FedEx, EVER.
