Several years ago, when my store was a few blocks north of Chicago's Orchestra Hall on Michigan Avenue (see Brian Fredericksen's story about Aaron), a tuba player would frequent the sidewalk on Saturdays (the big tourist day of the week in the Loop) across the street from our store with his instrument case open. He'd alternate two, AND ONLY TWO tunes: Sweet Georgia Brown (aka the Harlem Globetrotters' Theme), and the Flintstones theme song. It was merely obnoxious for me and my staff. But when serious customers where trying to listen carefully to select their Steinway Piano for their home, their concentration would be totally lost when our beloved tubist would break into his vast repertoire! It's one of the reasons that we moved our store to the suburbs 8 years ago.
