I agree. It's a very good idea to try out the instruments before buying. And I would like to say that even if it means you have to spend $500 more see if you can arrange to have both instruments for at least a week so you can compare. It's well worth it. And don't sign a deal saying you HAVE to buy one of the instruments. If the shop where you are planing to buy only orders the instruments if you sign a deal go somewhere else. There are plenty of dealers who will lend you two instruments if they know you are serious.
