If he reads treble clef, he well be accustomed to Bb transposing treble clef, so the answer is trumpet type music. This could also be clarinet or tenor sax music.
Trumpet/Clarinet (Bb treble clef) music will sound one octave lower when played by on the baritone (or euphonium).
Tenor sax music would sound as intended when played on the baritone.
