Using the partial system on my BBb tuba, the open notes, starting from Bb 2nd line, are

Bb
D
F
Ab
Bb
C
D

Therefore, a G could be fingered 1+2, 2, 3, or even 4 if you tried hard enough. I usually use 1+2, because im used to asscociating G with that fingering, but in reality im betting that fingering it with just the second valve is the most in tune. Kinda like on a trombone.

Hope that helps.
