Consider unsoldering and shipping the bell separately from the body of the horn. You will be shipping two boxes that will be easier to deal with than one box that is the size of half of a refrigerator. Also, look into shipping by Greyhound, per recomendation to me by Joe Sellmansburger. This was my method of shipping a helicon to him and it was received in perfect condition.
