Mike,
The EGAD-EADG was clever, and you're right about the Mannheim Steamroller piece. I have played a few of those Mannheim-Steamroller-blown-up-for concert-band arrangements on tuba, and that's just what they are. Due to the electronic flavor of those pieces, they are probably best left to electronic instruments. The only exception to this that I know of is their "Stille Nacht". I was in the Army Ground Forces Band with Chuck Jackson 11 years ago this Christmas when we did that piece. What made it so stunning was the violin solo, performed by Chuck's wife, Blair. As we provided a full-but-quiet accompaniment, she was standing in the spotlight in her concert black, and sounded like heaven itself. Good job, Blair!
I hope you and "Bubba" Burton had a good concert with the "Winds".
