I have been using a Kalison Professional 2000 for 12 years. I got it because the smaller F's had weak low registers. I only want to bring one tuba to a job, and if it's an F I want it to do everything. Outside a small need for alternate fingerings to stay in tune, the Kalison has a remarkable sound similiar to a larger CC, and a lower register than most BBb horns (the pedal BBb and Ab beneath are all there). It is perfect for quintet or large symphony, carrys well, projects well and stays in tune (once warmed up). What more is there to want? H. Critchley
