The same goes for the many B&S/Weltklang models still found. The same bodies can be found under the names of B&S/Weltklang/PT/VMI. The more generously outfitted models may be followed by better craftsmanship in the assembly, because they hare handle by the master craftsmen. Yet the Weltklang 2nd line was not especially badly made (my dislike for pre-wall-fall GDR piston instruments has been reported in other contexts on this board).
The index linked to in the Mira posting will let you find illustrations of a Weltklang BBb tuba and a B&S BBb tuba, that have very similar bodies.
