I am a huge fan of this horn. I started F tuba on a Pt 10 rotary. It had a wonderful sound, but I wanted my own F tuba, and it belonged to the school. I ended up buying a Yamaha 822F. This horn played well, and sounded like a CC tuba. Definitely not what I wanted my sound to be. So, I tried out a whole bunch of 45S's at Fedderly's. I ended up getting a real gem of a horn. I have played in excess of 6 or 7 of these horns, of varying ages, and slightly different designs. I have never played one that I did not like. I think these could possibly be one of the best kept F tuba secrets out there.
