I have found that a good deal of the blatting can be removed by a good director who simply points it out to the group and if necessary the individuals. I have played TC under some great tubists, but their conducting comunication is not the equal of their playing. I think it is very important to choose a good conductor who can communicate and reign in those who forget that there are no yards lines at TC's.
