Patience is a great virtue. It pays off, particularly when it helps you get something done right. An Eb tuba generally should have a somewhat smaller mouthpiece, but what is important is that the cup be more pronounced and shallower. This helps the intonation tendencies of the instrument immensely. A Rudolf Meinl M-9 mouthpiece is an excellent all-around mouthpiece for most F and Eb tubas, and Mirafone has a couple of excellent shallow-bowl mouthpieces, too.
