I played a tuba last week which made me wish I had one. My normal tuba is a Mirafone 186 (the "professional" model") and it has been a workhorse for me, and has a really solid sound (depending on my mouthpiece selection)
The tuba which I played made my horn feel like a poorly working toy. It was a Hirschbrunner CC. If anyone out there knows of any horns which are comparable to the HB horns, let me know. The horn nearly plays itself.
