Add to that any of the earlier SNO recordings with Bob Hughes (now in the LSO) playing bass trombone. Alexander Nevsky is ridiculous.

The absolute loudest bass trombone playing I have on record are Charlie Vernon's b naturals in the last couple of minutes of the Bernstein/CSO Shostakovich 7th.

Ed Kleinhammer is awesome on a CSO redio broadcast from the early 80's of Bruckner 5th.
The 1966 radio broadcast of Martinon/CSO Nielsen 4th is awesome as well.

Steve Norrell has some great moments in the Levine/Met Ring Cycle.

Many many recent movie soundtracks.

Amazing contra playing on The German Brass' "Bach 2000". An especially juicy pedal E in Toccata and Fugue.
