Here is an approach I learned a while back from a trombone professor that seems to work pretty well for developing a snese of a "buzzing" aperture:

Locate a fairly large drinking straw (If a McDonalds is convenient, this will be perfect and quite inexpensive).

Unwrap the straw.

Place the straw in the center of the lips with the lips closed and the straw approximately 1" or 3cm into the oral cavity. Make sure as your lips close around the straw that they are more of a circular shape than a smile. (Slight pucker)

Blow through the straw.

As you are blowing, remove the straw. Continue to blow air.

Upon removal of the straw, your lips should be buzzing. If not, repeat.

I have found that this, incases of students who are having a hard time controlling the embouchure in a way to create buzzing. Once they have acheived buzzing with this "aid" they seem to retain this embouchure which is normally "textbook correct."

Best of luck!
