large receiver-tuning bit?

Hello,

I have Yamaha 641 BBb that seems to be one of the "good ones" with the exception that it wants to be on the sharp side unless I have the main slide out a bit more than I prefer. I use a couple Helleberg mouthpiece variations that work well in different situations with this horn. The receiver on this horn has always seemed a bit larger than normal to me and all my mouthpieces go in quite deeply.

I grew up back in the 70s & 80s on the larger Conn 2xJ series horns that were designed to have tuning bits. My question is whether there is perhaps something along the line of a tuning bit that might help with the receiver depth situation of my mouthpieces in the receiver while also helping a bit in keeping my main tuning slide at a more preferable position. I would appreciate any leads or comments.

Thank you,
Paul Sidey
