I have a pre 1900 King BBb that I found at a music store in Hays KS in April 1970. I paid $50.00 for it and the store owner cried until the day he died that he had been robbed. However, the salesman was moving on and really didn't care. I would not sell
this horn for any amount as it has a better low end than my Mirafone 186-I can go right down to the pedal notes with no effort and they are in tune. THe upper end is a little
more difficult, but I can go up to middle C without too much effort-my lips are not
accustomed to the high end as I do primarily band literature. I can do the 1st tuba part to Norlan Bewley's arrangement of "Jingle Bells" on it easily and that goes up to Ab.

Merry TubaChristmas
