How about it from an exhibitor's standpoint:
You pay $70 for the space, $200 for chair and table, travel, hotel, shipping, the teamsters, 10 bucks for a two dollar lunch and all sorts of other fees. After all that, the conference will not allow anyone into the exhibits who has not paid their $60 to get in the door. There are a lot more people (such as the 400 for TubaChristmas) who exhibitors would love to have come see them but a vast majority will not because they refuse to pay $60 just to see exhibits!
Now you part of the reason I do not exhibit at Midwest.
