Well, it was an in-house arrangement (we have a number of published arrangers and composers in our orchestra). This was a one-off for a special occasion, so it came with a quickie condensed score that was a little less than clear regarding where I played and where I did not. It was cheese, but it was well-done cheese, so we used it on pops programs for several years afterward.
And yes, I would not want to be the tubist that has to explain to him why I had no music in that spot either! But I doubt that it will ever see the light of day again.
