I am trying to find a nice mouthpiece case similar to an old Rocky Mountain Caseworks type I have that has a shaped foam rubber insert inside. Unfortunately the web site for Rocky Mountain is closed. I really like the protection of this type case but I have not been able to find anyone outside of Monette who has something similar. The outer shell is either canvas or leather and the inside is a semi soft but firm foam rubber that is shaped to hold different mouthpiece tuba types securely without a lot of bumping around or risk of scratches.
Does anyone know of a brand and who might offer something like this style? I have two favourite mouthpieces that I have had since 1978 as well as a shiny new one that I might want to keep playing for another 25 years or so as well.
