You are talking about a 25J. The bells, upright or bellfront are 24' in diameter. You can get a refirbished one from Taylor Music (1800usaband.com). Also Badger Music and Barodi have these horns rebuilt on Ebay from time to time, and I am sure would sell you one direct at a reasonable price. Right now both Dillon's and Baltimore Brass have used 2xJ series horns available.

With the bellfront, it is a model 24J. Three valve is a 21J, or if bellfront it is a 20J. There is also a front action model in the series as well as one with standard length upright pistons, the 34J. (Conn had a grand orchestra model with the same model # but it is a different horn with a fixed bell.)

I played a 20/21J in college and just got back into playing about a year and a half ago. I have a 20J with both bells and really haven't found anything else that I like as well.

Lee Stofer is on the board quite often and is a professional that is very knowledgable about tubas and these horns in particular.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
