Repiano cornet is the name of the part, not the instrument. It'san important part played on a normal cornet, but is quite exposed a lot of the time. It's regarded as 3rd in importance after principal and 2nd man.
I'm the bearded BBb Bass, but the shaven one is usually quite a jolly chap, just not on this photo! He's the infamous Roy Batty who spent nearly 40 years with the great Grimethorpe Colliery band (including the film Brassed Off! etc.) before moving to us 2 years ago.
