Hey Folks,

I wanted to take a minute and post my updated performance schedule
for everyone for the 1999 Spring Semester...

Two of the gigs are coming up very soon, and the rest of the
semester will follow below this...

For those of you in the Maryland/D.C. area, I will be performing on
the "Bach, Beethoven, and the Boys..." concert put on by the FCC Chamber
Players at Frederick Community College in Frederick, MD., this Sunday,
07 Feb. 99 (AT) 3:00 p.m. Admission is free. I will be performing Mozart's
"Rondo in Eb" from his Horn Quintet, K. 407, arranged for tuba and
piano. The show will end with myself, a violinist, and pianist
performing the swing trio "Bach at the Double", which was "composed" by
the illustrious P.D.Q. Bach. Three movements in length, it takes some of
the more famous Bach melodies and proceeds to musically destroy them,
and each Bach melody eventually becomes a tune like "Ain't She Sweet" or
"In the Mood". Serious Bach devotees should leave before this tune ;-)

Following the FCC gig, I will be spending two days - Feb. 09 and 10
- as a guest artist at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. I
will be giving a master class/clinic, and performing a full recital on
the 10th. Contact Kenyon Wilson, professor of tuba at VSU, for more
info....

The rest of the semester is as follows:

22 Feb. 99 - Recital at Lawrence Conservatory, Appleton, Wisconsin.

23 Feb. 99 - Guest recital appearance with Canadian super tuba soloist
John Griffiths on his recital at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
We will be performing John Stevens' "Suite For Two".

24 Feb. 99 - Recital/clinic at the University of Wisconsin - Plateville,
in Plateville, Wisconsin.

25 Feb. 99 through 03 Mar 99 - Artist in Residence at the University of
Wisconsin - Whitewater (in Whitewater, WI, obviously...). During this
time I will be be performing with the UW-W Concert Band, giving clinics,
and performing a full solo recital.

16 Mar 99 - I will be a featured guest soloist for the MENC fundraiser
recital at Salisbury State University, in Salisbury, Maryland.

23 March 99 - Guest soloist with the Thomas Johnson High School Band in
Frederick, Maryland.

24 March 99 through 28 March 99 - Solo recital tour through Colorado,
including stops at University of Colorado, UC-Denver, and University of
Denver. This is still TENTATIVE. Final "negotiations" are still in the
works....

09 April 99 - Solo recital for the Branson Bands fundraiser event at
Branson High School in Branson, Missouri.

12 April 99 - Solo recital at Southwest Missouri State University, in
Springfield, Missouri.

13/14 April 99 - Solo recital and master class at Wichita State
University, Wichita, Kansas.

15 April 99 - Solo recital at Catoosa High School, Catoosa, Oklahoma
(just outside of Tulsa...)

07 May 99 - Guest Artist for "International Tuba Day" celebration at
Millersville University, Millersville, Pennsylvania.

11 May 99 - Featured soloist on the Salisbury Sate University "Evening
of Brass" recital, Salisbury, Maryland.

17 May 99 - Featured soloist with the Northern High School Symphonic
Band, Dunkirk, Maryland.

18 May 99 - Featured soloist with the Northern Middle School Symphonic
Winds, Dunkirk, Maryland.

And that's it as of now from February through May. All events (with
the exception of the fund raisers) are free and open to the public, so
come on out and say hello!
