I did like it initially, but after about 8 months or so I longed for a German F tuba, like the one I had first played as an undergraduate. The Besson 983 has it's strengths, but it wasn't for me. I grew up on B&S F's and that is where my heart is. I now play on a B&S PT-15, and am much more content.
