I believe this was read by a community orchestra I played with as a college student. I seem to remember a passage with a lot of ledger lines in the low register. I think the parts were hand written, and well worn. It struck most of us as highly unmemorable. We read through it but did not perform it. Once in a while these other transcriptions have to be trotted out. If the material is in decent shape, you should have no problems. You'll no doubt arrive early at that first rehearsal. Enjoy.
