I agree with Sam, the Wekselblat books are great. Other solo's I would look at are:
Honor and Arms Handel arr Harvey (not Bell) Gr 3
Variatios on a Theme of Judas Maccabeus Beethoven, Arr Bell Gr 3
Entract from Rosamunde Schubert, arr Masso Gr 3
These are good solo's that aren't too difficult or "cute", and get them into a singing style early...
I am not a fan of the Canadian Brass/ Cd books, but that's just MHO.
