I tried to use a HII on my HB2P, and had some problems as well - poor centering, lack of flexibility, etc. (Mind you, I'm not knocking the HII, it's a great mouthpiece; however, it wasn't working for ME, that's all) I found myself playing on a Dillon M1C; although it seems to be oriented more towards the "bazooka" sized tubas, I liked it best of all the mouthpieces I've tried. I can't comment on actual differences in cup size, shape, etc., but I felt like it was easier to focus with the particular rim/cup characteristics of the M1C than the HII (is the cup smaller or the rim wider on the M1C??). Just my 2 cents - might be worth trying out.
