Do you know anything about the Boosey & Hawkes valve system and how it works? I play a Boosey that has only 3 valves but has darn good intonation -- I don't have to pull the slides much at all to play a low B in tune (it's a B-flat horn). Some British guy told me that Boosey had come up with some kind of patented system for improving the intonation of a 3-valve horn, but I don't remember how it was supposed to work. Any idea?
